When I grow up, I will Be a dancer is a dance film inspired by a childhood memory.
It's the memory of a child who knew very early on what he wanted to be when he grew up.
I imagined this film as a return to that intimate projection: what i dreamed of being when i was little, what i silently promised myself, my body already moved by dance even before i understood its language. Dance is not something to be learned, but something obvious, a natural rhythm, a way of existing in the world.
The film unfolds a universe that is both childlike and whimsical, where imagination takes precedence over reality. The mouvement oscillate between playfulness and precision, innocence and determination. The movement is free, spontaneous, sometimes clumsy, sometimes already imbued with a deep urgency: that of dancing, no matter what.
This film is also deeply connected to a place. It was shot where I have always spent my summer vacations. A space filled with memories, suspended time, freedom. This setting is not just a landscape: it is a witness to my childhood summers, my first dances, my daydreams it becomes a playfround for the body, a space where past and present meet.
When I grow up, I'll be a dancer is an intimate declaration.
A tribute to the child I once was, to the passion that has never left me, and to this vital necessity: to dance in order to continue growing, whithout ever ceasing to be that child who dreams in mouvement.

New Generation - 2025
There is a fascinating paradox in our era. We live in a world saturated with words, images, and information, and yet silence seems to reign. Not a soothing silence, but an inner silence, one that arises from shallow communication, meaningless exchanges, and hyperconnectivity that isolates rather than brings us closer together. This show is a dance reflection on this phenomenon, an exploration of the void that is growing betwenn individuals in the digital age. We are surrounded by notifications, by gazes filtered through screens, and yet we struggle to hear each other, to hear ourselves. Our lives oscillate between the fear of loneliness, the illusion of presence, and real absence. Through mouvement, we want to give shape to this tension. We dance the fragmentation of being, torn between authenticity and image, between individualism and the vital need to belong. We dance this new form of loneliness where the digital crowd cannot fill the void left by the absence of touch, of a genuine gaze, of a voice that vibrates without artifice. But this show is not one of resignation. It is a quest. An attempt to relearn how to live together, to rediscover the weight of bodies, the warmth of life.
This film received third prize at the Arles International Dance Film Competition. Adult solo category.
